The Academic Foundation of From the Well
From the Well began as an academic research project focused on understanding the patterns, practices, and spiritual foundations that support long term sobriety. The study draws on biblical scholarship, contemporary recovery literature, behavioral science, and lived experience. As the research developed, it revealed consistent themes about renewal, identity, discipline, and the role of faith in sustaining meaningful change.
This academic work is paired with my own journey of sobriety. The book brings these two threads together. It combines grounded research with personal insight to help readers understand not only what works, but why it works and how it can be applied to daily life.
The result is a clear and practical guide. From the Well is written for anyone beginning a new chapter in sobriety or rebuilding after a setback. It is not a devotional. It is a research based, faith centered exploration of how lives are rebuilt when we return to the source. Each chapter connects biblical principles, research findings, and real world experience to show how lasting change becomes possible.
The book will be available soon on Amazon. If you would like updates on the release, early announcements, or behind the scenes notes on the writing and research, subscribe below.
